ARTIST BIOGRAPHY.
Ayumu Poe Saegusa (lighting designer) started stage lighting design in Tokyo. He moved into NYC in 2005 and became the resident lighting designer of HERE (www.here.org). He also works as a Freelance lighting designer for various type of shows from NY Fringe festival to Lincoln Center Festival in various countries from Japan to Europe. He is a good collaborator for multimedia shows, opera and all sorts of puppet shows. His credit ncludes “Eat The Document” (Directed by Kristin Martine at HERE in 2025), “Right of Spring” (Created by Basil Twist at Jazz at Lincoln center 2017), and “Book of Mountains and Seas” (Created by Basil Twist at Copenhagen in 2021). “The Monkey King” (Directed by Dian Paulus at San Francisco Opera in 2025). He has been Brooklyn College Theater design MFA program since 2024. He funded Creative Machine Stage Lighting LLC in 2016. Artist Website
