ARTIST BIOGRAPHY.

Mallory Catlett is a Obie Award winning creator/director of performance across disciplines from opera to installation art. In NY her work has premiered and performed at HERE, Harlem Stage, Roulette, Mabou Mines, Ontological-Hysteric, PS122, Abrons, Chocolate Factory, EMPAC, Collapsable Hole, LaMama; featured at Prototype and BAM’s Next Wave; and toured internationally to Canada, France, UK, Ireland, The Netherlands & Australia. She is a recipient a 2016 Creative Capital Grant, a 2015 Foundation for the Contemporary Arts Grants to Artists Award. She is the Artistic Director of Restless NYC, an Associate Artist at CultureHub/LaMama, a member of the Collapsable Hole an artist-run development and performance venue and a Co-Artistic Director of Mabou Mines. Her first book, The City We Make Together, co-authored with Aaron Landsman, was published by the University of Iowa's Humanities and Public Life Series in 2022.
